Stator Lacing Tapes & Cords

The following products represent Breyden Products' standard stator lacing materials.These products are offered in both braided and twisted forms, and in a variety of widths, thickness', diameters, heat shrinkabilities, and twist ratios.  To ensure the widest range of product options available, and to assist our customers with UL testing procedures, we have produced hybrid samples of our polyester/nylon materials (BPCTT155) and Nomex®/fiberglass materials (BPCTT180).

HEAT SHRINKABLE POLYESTER Tape

Flat braided tape manufactured from high tenacity polyester yarn. This tape is designed for lacing the end turns of stators. Heat shrinkage of approximately 10% at 300° F holds windings tightly in place following bake cycle. Specifically formulated finish reduces fraying and improves knot holding characteristics. Applications to 155° C. Also available in low shrinkage version. (Less than 4% at 300° F) Add "LS" to end of part number for this item.  Covered by Breyden Products' UL tested sample BPCCT155.

POLYESTER Dry Surge Ring Rope

Round braided rope manufactured from a special type of high tenacity polyester yarn.  This rope is designed for use in VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) systems.  The special yarn utilized increases varnish absorption.  A special high strength version is available with a high strength aramid fiber cord.  Applications to 155° F.  Covered by Breyden Products' UL tested sample BPCCT155.
